Wiper Linkage or Control Unit?
I may have busted something scraping the ice off my wiper arms recently. Is there any obvious reason why my arms may be behaving this way? I've replaced the PCB before for issues regarding the intermittent feature but this looks more mechanically broken. Just throw in a while new gear box or is there an obvious solution I should try before throwing money at this thing? Video is attached - Thanks!

Looks like the transmission is broken.
There's a plastic grid kind of cover over the windshield cowl. Just clips in if memory serves, no tools required. Just pop it off and you'll see the transmission rods and whatnot under there. Should be obvious what's fornicated.

I now realized I probably should have posted this in the "body" section of the boards, but since we are all here....
I went out and had a closer look. I didn't rip the whole mesh screen off but I did get a peek inside - it looks like the mechanism is working as it should but the actual wiper arm has come off from the spindle? Does that sound correct? I've attached videos of both pieces.
