Vortec Head combo???

How bad would a 906 & 062 vortec head be on same engine? Out of pure necessity, availability and budget. I already had a set of 906's. 1 was cracked in the common area between the bolt hole and water jacket. Found an 062 head in decent condition for $100. I can't be the only person who has considered this I hope.....

Re: Vortec Head combo???

Honestly it's not a big deal my crate engine came with a 906 & 062, it bugs me but I was more annoyed that one head was new and the other used. After I cleaned them up they will be closer anyway. Part of porting is making the heads closer to the same but there are tons of variables in an engine cylinder to cylinder, even with a NASCAR engines and they do A Lot of stuff to try and get the most out of each cylinder.
