I have 92 z28. my steering is very sloppy. It's been this way since I bought it. I'm looking to either replace the steering column or fix it? Not sure really which way to go. The picture I posted shows a tear in the rubber boot. I'm not sure if this can be fixed and even if it is contributing to the excessive play I have. Can anyone here recommend a solution?

If you dig around a bit with google the boot is available, reproduction shafts are available, Astro van shafts are available. A search will undoubtedly turn up hours of reading on the topic.
