It appears the TPI solenoid for 85-86 is "obsolete" and no longer made by OEM or aftermarket.

I have a brand new AC delco solenoid that I purchased form Eckler's (they had it labelled as 85-92, but is not the same as the original on the car.

Can the later 88-92 solenoid be used on the 86 (if I fab up a proper bracket for it)?

The connector loos to be the same (just rear-facing instead of forward facing), and it hs two ports for vacuum, that are forward facing (like the original).
