Is CAI bad for high mileage engine

I have 2002 Chevy Silverado z71 4x4 4.6 with 200k miles. Is cold air intake going hurt motor?

I thought most of the newer vehicles already picked up air from outside the engine compartment. In which case an aftermarket CAI would be a waste of money more than anything else

This forum is devoted EXCLUSIVELY to 82-92 Camaro & Firebird. It is NOT a general automotive Q&A.

That said, no, a CAI isn't going to "hurt" your truck, or any other vehicle even including 82-92 Camaro or Firebird, regardless of how many miles are on it.
