HELP!!!1984 firebird misfire

Hey yall, I got a 84 firebird 305. Bought it for the low from an older gentleman that stated he couldn't get it to run good. I bought it for $1500. Not in horrible condition. Body is clean. Original motor. Built Trans. Guy stated it had a 3200 stall and shift kit.. needless to say I started messing with it, I unplugged the EGR sensor.... rpms leveled out. Then I noticed a very...very faint popping. It has a small mis. Looking at the diagrams for the dizzy, and then the firing order I am pretty sure he's got the wires crossed somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Side note. Guy started doing an emissions delete (michigan) and never finished. I honestly don't even know where he started and finished off at. I wanted to keep everything original but I think we might throw the 383 in it.

Well, the plug wires DO go to the correct sides of the engine.
Check that #5 and #7 are not mixed up - easy to do.
Nice find - I would give $1500 for that.
You could make a great sleeper out of it.

I see no shame in living in a trailer park, if it's as well maintained as yours appears to be.

The mobile homes look good, the landscape looks good, in other words it looks like the residents take pride in their homes, it's not kept like a craphole

@NoEmissions84TA that's what I bought it for lol. I'd love to make it a sleeper. But I got 6 kids and between child support and bills it's hard to have extra money :/. Might put the 383 in though.
@OrangeBird it's actually really clean here. And quiet. Almost like an old people community.

Another question. Is my car suppose to have 2 MAP sensors? I have one on the drivers side, hooked up with wires and vac line. And one on passenger side with only wires hooked up to it.

Hi 1984firebird616, Yes you will have one sensor measuring Vacuum, and one sensor measuring the ambient barometric pressure
