Coil In Cap Distributor?
So currently finishing up my engine swap and wiring everything up but it just now occurred to me that my new HEI distributor has the coil in the cap as opposed to the old out of the cap coil. Can anyone help me on how to make this work? I’m guessing I can just buy the correct connector for the coil and maybe cut the old coil connector off and crimp the new connector on it? Just wanted to ask before I started cutting stuff up lol

Yup, that's all there is to it. Same wires go to the same places. Pink (ignition) goes to the front (left, looking at it from the driver's side), white (tach) goes to the rear.
If this is a computer application then you'll have to adapt the other plug as well. Can't recall the pinouts but there are the same # of wires with the same functions. Might even be the same colors.
