Intake Manifold To China Wall Gap?

How much of a gap is there supposed to be between the intake manifold ends and the top of the "China walls"?
With no gaskets, I have pretty much none, and with the gaskets, about 1/16" (basically the gasket thickness uncompressed)...

Ive seen abit more gap than that with gaskets but good black rtv or rightstuff seals anything.
