Hey guys My engine has had a slight miss for awhile and i'm trying to figure out why it is happening. I looked for vacuum leaks and have come up short. I think I am pulling approx 19 pounds at idle which sounds correct. However, I can't get my idle down lower thn 1200 or else the car wants to stall out. I know it is running a little rich as well. Where should I be looking?

I know the cam isn't THIS big that i can't get the idle down. Help me out fella's. I'm thinking ignition problem. Maybe coil or module. Can you explain the ignition module to me as well? Thanks!

EDIT: Wires, cap, rotor, plugs are all new.

EDIT #2: Okk... noone is answering. Could timing keep me from achieveing idle lower then 1200 RPM??

 

It's most likely a bad injector(s). I currently have a similar problem (slight miss at idle) and am going to get new injectors in the spring. I'm dreading it though cause of Da Ram. Good luck and do a search under injectors.

 

i'm sorry i forgot to add my sig. I have a carberated crate motor with low miles. It has a used 650 double pumper on top which gives it more then enough fuel.
