Another won't turn over question
I am sure there are threads addressing this, and I apologise in advance... 92 v8 5.7 tpi and been sitting about two yrs, pretty sure I have fired it up at least once during that time... Now it won't turn over, and am wondering why when I have the battery on the charger, when I turn the key first time, strong crank, subsequent turns of the key, crank gets weaker and weaker... someone told me I need a new battery? Fuel gauge says full (doubtful on that) and I hear the fuel pump... Wondering where to start with this? Thanks in advance

Re: Another won't turn over question
If the car has been dormant for two years you need a new battery. You hear the fuel pump but you don't know if there is fuel in the tank or if you have fuel pressure or if the injectors are working to provide fuel to the engine . So start with a new fully charged battery. Then I would give the engine fuel at the throttle body to see if it will fire. If it does fire then you need to test for fuel pressure. If you have correct fuel pressure and the engine won't fire without adding fuel at the throttle body then it is likely you will need to replace or service the injectors or the fuel is so old it won't burn. It sounds like you will need help from a experienced friend .
