I'm a teenager. My 91 camaro re 305 tbi has been sitting in my drive way over night through two lightning storms. I go outside to go to work today and my car does not turn on. I put the key in, lights turn on, radio head turns on, I turn the ignition and nothing happens. Not even any sort of sound otherthen the ignition clicking. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM??? I NEED TO GET TO WORK!!!!

 

So the starter clicks? battery charge is too low to crank it over and/or bad connection on battery.

 

The battery has never shown signs flaw but, okay sounds reasonable. How would I go about fixing this...? Swapping out the battery?

 

Try a jump start.

 

yeah jump start it and see. then either charge the battery. or replace the battery. or take the battery down to the parts store to get charged and tested.

 

did a jump and it works fine. thanks guys

 

still have the battery tested. could be not holding a charge then your stuck jumping it again. Also a failed battery will put more stress on the alternator causing it to fail prematurely. check your stuff!
