Looks like the authentic ep381 is pretty much history these days. What's everybody using now for higher flow/hp applications in a factory fuel system/tank? I've read reviews indicating the walbro's are noisy and tend to have a short life span.

 

What are you powering and what year is your rig. Nothing wrong with walbro pumps, however there are fake ones out there.

 

383 in an 84 k20 truck. Hoping for 400hp. Pretty much all gm vehicles with in the tank pumps/fuel injection in the 80's and 90's used the same style fuel pumps correct? Tbi, tpi, vortec etc. Wasn't the ep381 (vortec) the highest flowing one?

 

That I don't know. I'm pretty sure the sending units changed when they went to fuel injection. Are you running a return line? Pressure regulator? Carb or fuel injection? All these factors matter for proper selection.

 

same kind of sending units and pumps gm used on I think all of their fuel injected vehicles from mid 80's to late 90's. Fuel supply, fuel return, tank vent and canister vent. Pressure regulators are up by the throttle bodies or fuel rails

 

Right, but without knowing what's in your setup one cannot help. Are you running a carb? fuel injection (if so which one)? etc etc.

 

Throw a Walbro 255 in there and be done with it
