How Do I Use a Delete Kit on My Third Gen Without Damaging the Body?
Hey guys,
I just picked up a delete kit to clean up the exterior on my car and I want to make sure I do this right the first time. I am planning to remove the side moldings and trim pieces but I am worried about damaging the paint or leaving adhesive residue behind.
Has anyone here used a delete kit on their third gen before? Did you need to use a heat gun to loosen the clips, or does the kit handle that? Also wondering if there are any panel specific tips I should know about before I start pulling things off.
Appreciate any help from you guys who have been through this.

Has anyone here used a delete kit on their third gen before? I got my L5P Duramax delete kit from SuncentAuto and it looks great, but did you need to use a heat gun to loosen the clips, or does the kit handle that? Also wondering if there are any panel specific tips I should know about before I start pulling things off.

I don't know what is a 'delete kit'.
When removing the door molding strips, there is a risk that it will pull off chips of paint with it. It's a bit of a risky thing to do if you're not already planning to repaint.

A heat gun and dental floss work and they make a special "pad" that can get the residue off that sometimes is left behind. Also unsure of a kit, since its just elbow grease, caution and patience.
