well, if you can port your heads yourself, it's definately cheaper, basically free! Sitting Bull is correct that adding a cam and headers will increase the gains you get from porting. Check a summit catalog to pick a cam, there are so many things to think about when choosing... like how you drive the car, how far you drive etc...
getting something in the 215-220 duration at .050" with like 112 lobe separation might make you happy, but I don't know what you're looking for. after porting, aforementioned cam, and headers, expect like 50-75 extra horses over stock, a great improvement for not much money.
