Bird's getting warm........

I have an 86 T/A and like everyone else here, they tend to run warm in traffic, I am looking to put either a double fan or go back with the single setup, the question is, has anyone wired the fan directly to a switch inside so the driver controls when it comes on? I have heard some people have done this and I would like to hear about it first hand......Also advantages and disadvantages. Thanks for any help.....

I had my brother install a switch, but I only had 1 12'' fan which wasn't enough, so I went back to a belt driven fan. Advantages of a switch is you have a little more control over your cooling temps. Disadvantages, would be always having to flip it on, and just don't forget to flip it on and overheat.
