What type of Rods do i need?

I was told to get 5.7" Rods for my 406. Now my question is do i need one special for the 400 crank or will ones for a 350 crank work?(much more plentiful and cheaper)

Yea, they'll work, but since you are talkin like a cheap bastard (like me ) then the cost of the pistons that you'll need will put a cringe on yer face.

the stock 400 rod is a 5.565 there was no stock 5.7 rod for the 400, you can run a 5.7 or 6.0 rod but agian you have to run a special ($$$) piston.

The slugs im not really concerned about price as i knew when i got into wanting certain rod lengths and C.R that they get pricey. I'm going to see if i can find Hypern...... pistons and if not i'll and try and find forged pistons (goodbye pocketbook).
