I have the opportunity to get one of these and was curious as to its potential benefits on an L98. I realize mods are needed to make it fit. My questions are really what rpm range is it designed for? Can it be ported like the TPI can for some more airflow?

Based on how the miniram runs, I would guess you could make power well over 6000rpm with the LT1 manifold. It can be ported.

See how on this picture max torque is made at 3300 rpm.. This is a TPI car. See how it dies after 5k.

 

Here is an LT1 dyno sheet, check out that torque curve. Notice that it has about 900rpm more and makes peak torque all over the place.
