autometer, what the hell? so many problems.

My air/fuel gauge 5775 is hooked up to power, ground, and oxygen sensor, but absolutely nothing happens when I start the car up. I am positive that the ground and power lines are good. I think my air/fuel gauge is broken. How do I go about getting a new one, I have only had this for a week and have my car in pieces waiting for the vacuum line for my other gauge. Also, this guage had to be cut slightly on the stud because it did not fit in my gauge pod. I find it odd that they sell gauges which don't fit the pod, when I push it all the way in, the stud keeps it from going about 1/4 inch farther like it needs to so that it is flush with the pod. if you can think of some other way to test the one that I have. My vaccum gauge also seems to have a problem. It only reads about 2 when the car goes on, I have it hooked up under the engine compartment right now, do you know what could cause this to read so small? I can see all of the line and it is not kinked.

Ok, my bad with the vacuum gauge, fixed that problem, but still no luck with the air/fuel.
