I know it isn't strictly tech, but I'm getting a little frustrated with lack of time to get projects done. Now I'll be out of town basically until the 2nd week of March on business, which only adds to the frustration.
The projects:
1) Pull the heads off the 396 and do the ol' port & polish on them. Put in proper retainers and valve seals while at it (leftover from last spring - long story).
2) Sub-frame connectors and Transgo shift kit for the Camaro. Want to do both at the same time since it has to be up on all fours to do either. Need to get a TCC switch fixed while the pan is off as well.
The restraints:
1) The '57 has to be ready for the start of the season at Bandimere in late April.
2) The Camaro is the daily driver. Will have to drive the '57 if don't get it done on weekends.
The issues:
Not sure how much harm I'm doing driving the Camaro without the SFCs & shift kit. Sure would like to have that TCC working. Would rather not drive the '57 in the snow (although it's a great snow goer for a RWD). I tend to bite off more than I can chew.
Enough rambling. Gettin' late again...

the SFCs and shift kit would be the easier and quicker of the two to get done. i know what you mean about time and all, i'm on the road and home on week ends and don't feel like doing anything when i'm home.

I really hate neglecting the old girl - I'm sure she gets jealous. But, I think you're right - fix up the Camaro, and I can run it in April if I don't have the '57 back together yet. I want to see how the Camaro does now, anyway.
