what size heads

Hey guys, i was wondering what would be good size heads to run on a 305. Im almost done with my rebuild, and want to start saving up for new heads. My engine will be runnin flat top pistons, a bigger cam, its been bored .030 over. What kind of head would work good with these mods thatnks.

well... if you can afford it go for aluminum

if you're on a budget you could get a set of iron 305 HO heads. They have larger valves than a stock head and flow better. A rebuilt set with bigger springs cost me $300 from a local dude. I ran them on a 350 and they made gobs of low end torque but farted out after 4800rpm. They'd go higher in a 305.

The largest valve you can use in a 305 is 1.94/1.50 otherwise you get shrouding.

Get some 305 Vortec heads. They are good if your running a 305.
