Help on building up my car

ok. well i just got my 91' firebird about a month ago.it's a v8 , 305 engine, and it's TBI.I already have a pretty good exhaust system on it, so i dont really want to change that. Im mostly interested in adding horse power and speed in my engine. Im just beginning to learn about cars, cause i know squat about them. I really want to learn what mod's i should do first. I've heard a lot about getting different pulleys and headers to make my car go faster, but which should i do first? thanks
peace,
Pontiac4ever

yeah, you've got to be more specific. Model, engine w/ tbi or tpi? Check out the technical articles on our website, this is the most effective way to increase performance in our cars.
Headers are a yes, pulleys, from what I've heard are mostly pointless.
I would make a homemade cold air intake, give the car a tune-up, (plugs, wires, coil if needed, adjust TPS and IAC,) and try it from there.

If I were you I would first doa good tuneup, then get a catback exhaust before you get your headers. that way you'll get all of you performance from your headers and while your saving up you money for em you'll have a nice sounding car :-) if you have any questions feel free the PM or email me, I'll try my best to help.
