Do I have to remove the engine to replace the heads on my 305 TBI?

Car: 86 Trans Am, 88 Formula
Engine: 95LT4, 305TPI
Transmission: T56, T5
No, you can do the heads, and Cam while the motor is in the car.
I did it on my 86 Trans Am when I went to TPI.
I changed the Heads, Cam, and everything else on the top of the motor.

i did it with the engine in the car, but in retrospect, if i had just taken the engine out i could have done all the work on it faster, with less backaches, and then i could have put some paint on it
