Doesn't one of them go to the heater core?

Actually, there is a hose that goes to the top of the water pump, and it is the heater hose. (It's about a 1" threaded hole, right?)

IIRC, for our cars without that black valve thing sitting near the AC condensor on the passenger's side, that hose runs from the firewall to the water pump. I think they stopped using the water pump as as source for the heater when they added the little valve thing.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

do you mean a/c evaporator? condenser is in front of the radiator. no tpi engines in camaros used a bung directly off the w-pump to accept hose. the black valve thing aka heater control valve showed up on tpi cars with a/c in 87 or 88 or therabouts. tpi engined f-bodies prior to those years did not use a valve either with or without a/c. but even with the engine oil cooler setup and related coolant hoses, no hoses tied into the pump. the rt.side of the radiator has a nipple on it below the filler neck.it is the other end of the t-body to heater control valve to h.core or oil cooler (or both) coolant loop that started from the fitting screwed into the ft.of the intake. now tbi cars and carb cars do tie into w.pump im fairly certain of that.

ok, so the general opinion is that I don't need it, right??. . I blocked it off, but it can be easily removed if I need to, just used pipe thread that is used to connect two steel pipes and then put an end cap on it.
