My Ac doesn't work and there is just TOO much hoses and a big ol' belt running the compressor. I'm not going to get it fixed anytime soon and I'm doing a motor swap soon. I've heard you had to get it depressurized but it doesn't work.. Do I still have to? It's just one more pulley, doesn't work and the amount of hoses are crazy.
Take care,
Jon

thats exactly what i did. If you wanna check to see if the system is still pressurized just get a nice long skinny screwdriver and a pair of long gloves, take the cap off the little nipple thing next to the hose that goes into the silver can thing and press the valve in with the screwdriver. If stuff starts hissing out like crazy, take it somewhere and have it drepressurized, if not, rip it out

yeah i know it's completely illegal and if the EPA found out they'd sh*t bricks, and if you get hit with freon coming out of the valve it's gonna be really cold (hence the long screwdriver and gloves), but it worked for me (the system had nothing left to release)
