I posted this the other day in another board but no one replied.
Im getting ready to take my L98 out of my GTA to rebuild it and convert it to carb. I was thinking about getting the Holley systemax II kit but ive heard from a couple of friends that have mustangs that it is no good and makes no power at all. Has anyone used the chevy version? If so , is it worth it? Or would Sportsman II heads and intake be better?

the holley systemax works fine and is worlds better than sportsman II heads. my recomendation would be fast burn heads with a performer rpm air gap or victor jr. intake. fast burn heads do require using the vortec style intake set up though.
