Fuel lines / vapor lock

Well I finally got another carb and put it on (stock q-jet) and it seems to have fixed one of my problems... Now I think I'm getting vapor lock.. My fuel line runs right by (touches) my headers... Car runs great for about 2 or 3 min then dies and wont start until it cools down... my question is.... I am thinking about rerouting the fuel line with rubber line. What would be a good way to connect the rubber line to the solid line? I was thinking about just flaring it like brake line and then use a hose clamp so it doesn't slide off.. any other ideas?

thanks

It sounds like vapor lock. The headers are heating the gas up so much that its evaporating. You might try just getting a longer rubber hose and extending it. I am having the same problem just not as bad. Im just gonna get longer hoses and run them as far away from the headers as possible.
