Windshield Washer (or lack thereof)

Hey Guys...

I remember someone discussing this a few weeks ago but i couldn't find the post, nor could i remember the answer, so here I am.

Windshield washer don't wash. After I bought it, i had my local shop go through and fix all the stupid stuff that was busted (new brakes, oil change..etc, got some babying that she needed!) One of the things they did was replace the windshield washer fluid pump..... But guess what, it still doesn't work. Like I said, i remember someone else having that problem... What's the issue?

I think the first thing I would check is to see if I was getting power to the pump, and that the ground was good, if yes I would check to see if I had a compromise or restriction in the hoses.

Very general, but I only have a gutted '82

if your pump is working (electrically) the disconnect the hose from the resevior lid and place it directly into the fluid and give it a try, I found that the filler cap on the resevior was cracked and would not allow the pump to pick up the fluid (no vacuum).
