Can anyone identify this part

Please tell me what this part is, It has one vacuum hose attached as well as 3 water hoses which go to the plenum and the fire wall.
Someone told me it is the EGR valve but I dont Think so. Correct me if I am Wrong. This is a 350 TPI 87 GTA.

Heater control valve - controls flow to your heater core. Something you will be unlikely to ever need in Barbados :-).

Search the archives for removal info if you want it to go away.

Yeah, good point although I suspect that Barbados is lot less moist than Florida from what I have seen of the Bahamas and Virgin Islands. I was assuming use of A/C for that, but on looking back at his photo I see an alternator case not a compressor :-).

Are you also in South Florida , Vader?

Also note that below that valve is the emissions air injection valving. What are the rules in Barbados? Can you take that stuff off?
