The first place to start is with a good tune up. cap, rotor, fuel filter, sparkplugs, sparkplug wires.
Then I would do exhaust. Buy a good set of headers and get a catback system.
Look in the tech articles on this website for the ultimate throttle body mods and do those.
Get an open element airfilter or some sort of cold air induction.
Bump your ignition timing up and run premium fuel. get an aftermarket intake.
Those are your basic engine mods, but dont forget about the suspension and the rest of the drivetrain

K&N Filter, Catback system preferably Flowmaster or maybe Hooker, Polyeurithane bushings (suspension)... Umm theres much more... but first I would make sure the car is running good. Get a tuneup, just keep it as is for now, get used to it as it is for a good month or two just to get used to it. Enjoy it for now.
