TPS or JET Air Foil?...

So which is a better air foil? The TPS one, or the JET one. I noticed JET has two holes in it, I can't remember if TPS had these, are the holes good or bad? Any better air foils out there?

well, most air foils although have small differences, have the same effect. the price leader that i'm aware of is the slp version at 34.95. i've used this version as well as the comp cams and hypertech version. i'd recomend just going with the one you can get the best deal on.

From what I understand the holes are for the idle air control. I have the JET one with 2 holes in it, just wedge it into your clean air hose and you're done.

But I paid 50$ from Summit.

Just get a good but cheap 1, there isn't much difference.

I'd prefer a permanently mounted one like the TPS one. The Jet and big and heavy and has to be wedged in your air ducting hose. I'd go with the TPS one....

Cheap is good here, I have done dyno work on a 92' Z28 it is only good for about .4 horsepower.

Try Ebay...cheap.
TPIS is the better one since installation leaves it in a secure position.

people with superchargers say they make a lot of difference.
Bout like getting an Air filter. Depends on what kind of horsepower your making, or plan on making.

I put it on my L98 and it "seemed" to have better throttle response. It was a good first mod for me since I was learning about TPI, etc. When I begin doing mods on my 5 speed...it will be one of the last mods I do.

...or make your own and install it "permanently" with fasteners.

i say get the jet

the jet piece is great
the jet piece looks like it will smooth the air better because of its design i have it on my car but i made i custom air hose for my car so it was not being held in by the hose so i took my grinder and ground off the lips on the top ans bottom of the fiol and i jb welded it into the tb and it works grea
its not like there is any reason to remove it once it is installed just my 2cents
