Anyone know if SLP 1 3/4 headers will clear the spark plugs on Trickflow heads?

IM thinking of buying a set and wondering if they will work with my 23* trickflows.

Thanks!

Well I am banking on it, for the 23* TFS heads anyways..... I just found a slightly used set of 1 3/4" SLPs to replace my choke-off-my-engine-at-high-RPM Edelbrock TES ones. I have heard that a dimple here and there is required, but I am confident that I will not have a problem getting them on there without having to butcher them. I am thinking that the angle plug heads will make the header clearance pretty much a non-factor.

Hey Matt...Ive never heard of anyone having spark plug clearance problems with them. Till now...Paul (AcceldZ) Had problems with one of the plugs touching the primary tube. He has the Edelbrock heads with angled plugs too.

I want to get a set but IM worried now about plug clearance. Please post your before and after results, or send me an email about the install. I will have before and after dyno results too see if they offer any power over the TES.

I prolly won't get the car dyno'ed until after I get he SLP headers on and I haven't dyno'ed my current combo.... I do have G-tech data with the TES though, so I will have something to gauge it by if the headers are the only thing I change. I am thinking your larger engine will have the need for, and show better results from, the larger headers when compared to mine......

Do you know what kind of plugs that Paul used on his car and what plug(s) he had the problem with?

Well, good luck,
Matt

Are the plugs angled? If so, fitting will be tight.

No I didnt ask, he did say it was more than one. There was guy a I used to talk to that had 23* Trickflows and I thought the 1 3/4 SLPs as well. Have to see if i can find his email.

Greenprostreet...The plugs are angled on the Trickflows. Do you have the 1 3/4 SLPs on your car?
