making my 305 a 350

i heard a lot of talk about boring out 305's and making them 350's. how can i do that to my engine? i have a stock 305 and i really want power with my car. also, what type of cam should i get ? i hear 252h is a good cam for a 305.

You can't make a 305 a 350. You can stroke the 305 to 334, but the cost I believe is about the same as getting a 350. The people that had 305s and went to 350s do an engine swap. As far as the cam I'm no expert but I believe on a 305 the Comp XE256 seems to be a good choice, while with a 350 you can go higher, which I'm getting the XE268.

Boring for a few more cubes isn't cost effective. Getting a 350
and swapping it in is probably cheaper and quicker.
