Ongoing overheating help make it stop..

I'm at the end of my rope here but I know with your help I can figure this out!!! Please post ideas on what I should check and what to look for. My 89 RS keeps on overheating I have had it in the shop several times with no luck!!!!! Here is what I know... the car will not overheat if it just sits and idles even for over an hour. But if I drive her more than 8 blocks she is boiling over!!! The fans are working as they should, I drainded and refilled the radiator (didn't flush or back flush it) but the raiditor is fairly new. It's thingking maybe the exta RPM's from driving are doing somthing, beacsue if I really get on it you can almost watch the temp rise. Cracked head?? Maybe head gasket??? Here is what I am running.. 88' 350, T-5, auto radiator w/oil cooler,MSD 6AL,K&N filters other than that bone stock, 98K on the engine.

check for any leaks? check your oil to see if it has a milky color-if it does then probably head gasket or cracked head. also check radiator hoses and see if they need replacement. hope this helps

Ok I checked the oil but teh car has been at the body shop for a while so I will check it again. Also brand new hoses all around, new water pump and new 180* thermostat.

Look at that, also make sure the lower air dam is intact. It's a black piece of plastic about 6" tall that goes most of the way across the car, immediately below the radiator.
