I think I might have bled them wrong........when I swapped rearends (from a 4 banger firebird with 3.73's) I just disconnected the little brake thingy and it leaked for like 3 minutes..weird thing was the fluid wasn't really low....so I didn't add...then I tried bleeding them....they still seem mushy and fluid level seems to be right. Just loosen the bleed valve while someone is stomping on the brakes then tighten before they let off....right?!? Other than that the car runs much faster I can't even believe it......Feels WAY faster than my firebird when it had stock heads. We raced my buddies 97 GT 5 speed and beat him by a solid 2 car lengths. Its a crate motor 305 with RPM intake, edle carb, Comp 262 cam, Heddman 3inch collector headers, hooker 3inch exhaust, ect....Its kinda cool messing around with 305s, only reason I kept the 305 in her camaro was I wanted to see how fast a 305 could go.....I'm pretty impressed. I think I might just keep it in there till it blows up now
Chris

NO I didn't buy a crate motor 305 (which is retarded) the rice boy that owned the car before us did

Open the bleeder screws and let it drip over night with the Master cylinder cover off. This is the best way to get rid of the air in the line. Keep adding fluid. Tighten them. Then Pump it up and bleed them again.

i assumed you used the brakes that came w/ the new rear end... Leaving the lines open overnight is probably not a good idea. You may wake up to find your reservour empty... have someone step on the brake peddle repeatedly untill pressure is built up and them open the bleed screw and close before they let off teh peddle. Make sure you connect a rubber hose to the blead screw and submerge it in clean brake fluid to prevent re-asperation of air into the system. Repeat untill no more air bubbles are visible... If they are still spongy you may have bad wheel cylenders that are leaking.

P.S. Dont forget to repeatedly check your level of brake fluid during this procedure
