cooling fan question

jc whitney is selling these cooling fans that blow air "thru" the rad instead of pulling it thru like others do. so my question is..
does anyone think that enough air could be blown thru the rad by one of these fans to acutally make the temp drop?
my 89 has a flex fan that works great 90% of the time..i just need a little more air to be sent thru the rad when im sittin in 100* weather in traffic. [thanks]:hail:

The puller electirc fans dont really do a good job but if you were to use one in conjunction with you flex (yuk) fan it should help quite a bit. One problem Ive found with flex fans are temprature fluctuations. My friend had a huge cooling issue with his nova, the car would run 220+ (he also used a an electric puller fan) after nagging him for a year he finnaly chnaged to a regular old clutch fan and the temp droped to 180* without the puller fan running.
