still running rough.!!

Dang stinkin' Camaro! I checked the timing, O2 sensor, checked for carbon tracking in the cap, ohmed the wires, the coil, my Dad even put a fitting in the exhaust by the converter to check if exhaust pressure was too high, (clogged conv.) nothing seemed wrong. Even checked the torque on the harmonic balancer and the torque converter. Help!! I had to drive my dad's 65 cadillac pig to work! at least that 429 runs good. Still Runs like POOP!
I don't want to start trouble shooting with parts! Any suggestions will help,,Don't make me want to get a mustang!!!

I'd say pull all the plug wires and check for cracking.

MIke,
The car is holding a rock staedy vacuum reading. That is what is bizarre. The engine only has around 4000 miles on it and 3 days after i paid my parents off and officially owned my car it breaks.
The rough running that i am getting is smooth idle but once yopu press the gas pedal the whole car begins to vibrate and shutter ( even in park). I have lost power also. Once the car hits about 2500 rpm the car smoothes out a little and the vibrations arent that noticeable until i get below 2500 rpm. What is wrong with my baby?

I don't know man, it sounds like its a fuel delivery problem of some kind. Since your using a carb though it should have been there all along, and that would lead someone to believe that its a computer controlled component or emissions component.

Wish I could help you some more, but I'd hate to track you off in the wrong direction... I'm so confused, this is gonna totally be messing with me...

Tell us if you find anything,
Mike

Get a new fuel filter and see if that helps. Sounds like your fuel filter is clogged or your fuel pump might be on the way out........

Thanks for the suggestions. I just replaced the fuel pump and filter a couple weeks ago so that shouldnt be the problem. I forced the codes out of the computer and the code it gave me was code number 21. This is the TPS( throttle position sensor) what does this thing do? Would the computer give me a code if I unplugged the TPS and then plugged it back in while i was troubleshooting? I have Moroso Blue Max plug wires on the car. What should these wires ohm at? Also any suggestions on testing a coil, does it need to be tested under a load or can it be tested with an ohm meter?

Now I am really screwed, the tranny went out on my dad's 65 Cadillac! Oh well I guess I have to drive his 63 chevy truck.

-------Please keep the suggestions coming I am trying everyone that has been sent to me. I appreciate the help.
