Torque convertor or whole tranny bad?
Okay guys my trany is seriously acting up and I am not sure whats wrong with it. When the car is cold, it will shift 1-2-3 fine, but t will take a little longer than normal to go into overdrive. As the car warms up, it revs inbetween shifts adn does not want to go into overdrive at all. It eventually will, but only aftyer about a minute or so of holding steady rpm in 3rd. When its fully warm, it does not even want to shift into 3rd, and it free revs alot. It doesnt even 'push' the car until about 2500 rpm, then it kinda feels like dropping the clutch while youre moving, it will lurch forward. It almost feels like a horribly slipping torque convertor. If thats all it is, can I just replace it instead of replacing the whole tranny?
