What happens with no EGR

It will pull a code if you disconnect it but it shoudn't affect anything else. I'm assuming emissions isn't much of an issue here either.
Not to sound to lost , how do you turn VATS off? Did you leave the egr valve on the intake or take it off? I thought about making a plate where it goes?? What chip are you running now? (a custom burnt one) Did your gas mileage drop way off? Thanks

No on a TPI it WILL NOT RUN LIKE CRAP..... And if done correctly it will show NO Codes....
If you are even slighlty mechanically inclined you can make a blockoff plate out of aluminum...Then just put the EGR gaskedt between it and you are done....If not TPIS sell the blockoff plates already made and engraved with their logo...
To keep the code from showing up you NEED to retain the solenoid.....To do that you remove the plastic line that USED to go from the solenoid to the EGR valve...Just pull it out of the rubber connection...Then BLOCK that HOLE.....I just put some RTV on a cap headed bolt screw and pushed it in....What this does is ALLOW the solenoid to DRAW a vacuum on that line...With it blocked it CAN just as if the EGR valve was there....So the computer thinks all is right and no codes....If you UNPLKUG the solenoid then a code will come up OR if you dont seal the line then you have a vacuum leak and a code...
Mine has been like this for about 5 years and NO PROBLEMS.... My car certainly does not run like crap...

Kenwood, have you also eliminated the charcoal canister and the rest of the EGR system? What all did you do? Can you give us some tips??
