no start please help
Hey guys apologize for postin here, just thought would get more hits. This is the first time working on tbi no start, I had the haynes manual not the mitchell so I was working blind. The two injecters have a two wires inj.1 - blue and red, inj.2 had green and white. according to the manual blue and green were ground and red and white positive so correct me if im wrong but the two positive wires should show 12v and two ground should be 0v, its the computer that grounds the injectors via green and blue. Heres whats weird if you unplug both injecters and prob all connecter they all (4) have power? Is this right? Why would there be power coming from the computer via green and blue, Im I missing somthing? Also which wire and from which circuit does the computer use to provide the logic to ground the injecters? It start if you pure gas down the throttlebody. Fuel pump works, it has spark. Ecm #747.
Thanks in advance!
Thanks in advance!
111,
That is normal. If you reconnect the injectors (or an resistive load) the leakge/bias voltage of the switching transistors in the ECM will be bled off, and the voltage should read effectively 0.
The diagram shows how the bias voltage through the resistors will read 12V with no load connected:

thanks for the reply vader, and not to be rude or anything still a little confused
with no resistor in place (injecter) there will be 12v at both ends for each side(4wires) and with the injecter connected there will only be 12v present at the red and white wires? this is how I interpit the diagram please correct me! fused 12v going to ecm at c16 bleeding to 0v at a12, and allowing ?v at the base of the transistor which will " I think" allow the injector to ground at d1, but what about the other resistor is it consuming the 12v? Im starting to think Im seriously screwed up!!! I honestly think Im wrong because, what is switching the injector on and off?
Please,Please,Please help!!!!!!!!!!!
