oil on the manifold... WHY??!!!!
Hey,
I noticed that there seemed to be a small pool of oil sitting in one of the "valleys" (for lack of a better word) of the manifold on the drivers side, next to the thermostat housing.
This is on my 92 Bird...
I was cleaning out my engine compartment at the time, so I cleaned it out, and about a week later I opened up the hood again, and saw another little pool of oil in the same spot..
Any clues? I am at school, so I dont have a whole lot of resources at this time, so is there anything that I should check?
Could it be valve cover gaskets leaking? Cracked head? (there is nothing wrong with my exhaust, no irregular smoke)
Any more info you need to help me diagnose this problem, I would be glad to provied...
if I can get a pic tonight sometime, I will post it...
Thanks!

Or check the intake bolts.
I used to have this problem. I re-did the intake gaskets & used some Permatex teflon paste sealer stuff on the bolt threads when i put them back in & it went away.
