Will my rockers be ok?
Will my rockers be ok?
I recently got the new motor assembled and in the car. I am running some 1.6 gold crane roller rockers. They were used on my old 350 and I didn't have any problems. My question is, will they hold up to my new motor without any problems?
I'm running a 350+.030 , eagle 3.750 stroke cast steel crank, 5.7 eagle i-beam rods, SRP -18cc dish pistons. I'm using some edelbrock 6085 heads with .100+ taller manely valves, 3 angle valve job, K800 k-motion springs, 6.300 comp cams moly pushrods, and an LPE219 cam.
I've been told that the rockers may not hold up to the abuse, anybody have anything similar to this setup?
Thanks,
Brendan

Sounds like a pretty mild setup as far as rockers are concerned... I don't see anything there that abuses them. Of course you might want to take a look at this post if you haven't already.

You'll definitely need push rods longer than stock (which is 7.290" more or less), probably 7.450" or 7.500". How long are the ones you're planning on using?
