Help-need to get old intake gasket remnants off of cylinder heads.

I am ready to put my intake base back on but I need to scrape the pieces of the old gaskets off of the heads. What is the best way to do this so that I don't end up with gasket pieces in my motor? I'm thinking duct tape right now.
I'm sorry for these stupid posts lately, but this is my first thirdgen, my first sbc, and the first time that I have taken stuff apart on my car.

Duct tape is good (make sure you use the kind that's rated for 200 MPH!); newspaper works well; stuff rags in the ports; etc.
