i recently bought a 89 rs 305 tbi, it had a hesitation problem ,ithoght it might be a dirty fuel filter or the ignition coil now that ive gone over it i noticed that it has had this problem for a while someone has replaced almost every sensor and some of the gas line ive done a diagnostic check it comes up with,lean mixture i have no clue what the problem is can anyone help?!

Test the oxygen sensor. I'm guessing your error code was a '44', right?

If the sensor is new and/or tests O.K., search the message archives for "lean" and "44".

 

And just for the heck of it check your intake manifold bolts for proper torque.
