Camshaft

I want one that has pretty low duration for a lot of torque and low speed power in the lower rmp range while still having a large rpm range of power. I also want a lot of lift for top end power. I also want it pretty much from 1500-6500 rpm. Basically, this is going to be a street engine so idle has to be pretty good for that, but also I want it to be powerful no matter how I use it (around town/racing). Around 112 lobe seperation for good vaccumm/idle. I've looked in summit and just can't decide. I know you can't have the best of both worlds, but something has to come close.

Take care,
Jon

Sounds to me like you want the "perfect cam" aka one that doesn't exist

Cams are about capitalizing on a specific power range and making the most power you can there, durration and seperation define where it will be and for how long, and lift is kinda your "free money" in almost all cases more is better (except for wear/failure)

I'd say if this is a 350 you want about 212 218@.05 and 114 seperation (to make the power range wide) and lift as much as your springs/wallet can afford.

To a point your LSA will widen/shorten your 'range' 112 is a strong cam, but a narrower range than 114

You want to retrofit a hydraulic roller into that motor!

A 750 holley,Performer RPM AIRGAP,Dart Sportman II heads,
Comp Cams XE-262,and a good set of headers and exhaust
should pull really well from 2000-6000rpm.That might be the cheapest way to get close to what you want.

from what i see your looking for, your going to need a cam with a chain connected to 3 other cams and 32 valves working.
