biggest brake rotor??

Whats the biggest brake rotor that I can fit in the 15" wheel? The wheels are so tiny that it doesn't look like there could be much more room, but my rotors are definatly hurting from some serious overheating (glazed blue, but not yet warped). ANyone have ideas of what sizes will fit??

BB,

I'm fairly certain 11" rotors will not fit. Instead of rotors you might want to check into your pad material. Organic pads will not dissipate heat easily. Carbon metallics actually like a little more heat to stop effectively. I don't have enough experience with ceramic compounds to call it one way or the other.

You could also try some brake cooling help like ducting, delectors, etc. Make sure the vetillation slots are not packed full of rust and debris. This is all the cooling the rotors will get, and the slots are commonly plugged.

I've been pretty hard on my brakes and they arent blue at all. 2 things other than what Vader mentioned could cause problems, if the calipers are hanging up it will wear out the pads fairly quickly and turn the rotors blue. If the rotors are significantly under minimum thickness or are really thin on one side they will also turn blue.

well the rotors haven't really received any maintanance since I've owned the car since they were never warped or ridged. I just noticed the glaze the last time I changed the pads. When I get home I'm definatly changing the rotors with the next break job.
