Centerbolt valve covers to perimeter covers - kit?

I heard that there was a kit to convert centerbolt valve covers to perimeter bolt valve covers... what all is involved with this conversion? There is a wider selection of aftermarket perimeter covers, and I want to get wire looms that won't cover up the valve covers.

GMPP makes a set of them. not cheap though. I friend of my bought them and said they would not fit with the roller rockers that he was using so he sent them back. I think your right that there are more styles of valvecovers to pick from in the perimeter style, for the price of buying the adapters and valvecovers you could could a nice set of centerbolt covers. I have the polished moroso centerbolts on my car.

And the whole time I thought that I was misfortuned with my centerbolt covers... Why do they seal better than the perimeter valve covers?

They seal better for a few reasons. The load on the seal is spread more evenly from the center out, there are no holes in the gasket to split and cause a leak, and the seals are also made out of better material.
