Serpentine conversion help.

I am converting to the serpentine system and need to know where all the black brackets [support struts] go. I have like 5 of them! I know that 1 goes on the back of the alternator to the 1st exh manifold bolt but what about the others?

I think I used three. Car's torn apart and I kinda forget. I had one coming from like the third exhaust manifold bolt back from the front on the passenger side up to the back of the AC condenser. On the drivers side there are two that come from the first exhaust manifold bolt and attach to the back of the alternator and the power steering pump. I think they vary from year to year too. HTH's.

Why would you want to convert that? I thought the 3 belt system was more efficent??? Could be wrong.

How is using three belts instead of one WITHOUT a tensioner efficient? Removing two belts just to change one isn't my idea of efficient. They are a pain in the ***.

The other bracket is for the AC compressor. When installing hedders, I removed the brackets, and didnt replace them, and have had no problems.

Only 3 belts? How come I have 4? Theres one that goes crank to air pump, another that goes crank to power steering pump, then one that goes water pump to alternator, then a big one that goes crank-power steering pump-ac compressor.
