I found a T10 in an 82 or 83 Camaro, can I use it?

Ok I found either and 82 or 83 camaro with the factory T10 fou speed manual gearbox. The only problem is its a four cylinder. Is there any way I can use this transmission? If so, can I use an older style bellhousing for the 14" 168 tooth clutch designed for a 400?

BTW it has the driveshaft and torque arm (not sure if torque arm is even different) but no cross member. How hard is this item to find?

Need help fast, would like to pull this tranny today if I can use it.

i'd take the crossmember, pedels, etc, all the stuff to swap over and get a ST-10 muncie or T-56 a t-10 or t-5 will grenade the second you put that car into 1st, 400 is not a BS engine

Ok when you say ST-10 do you mean the saginaw T-10? I found out that in 82 you could get a borg warner T-10 or a saginaw (T-10?) four speed manual. I just found out that the borg warner t-10 should have 9 bolts on the inspection cover, but the one in this camaro only has 7. Does that mean its a saginaw? If so, can I use it?

What bellhousing/clutch would it need? This thing is weird it has a Z bar. Would there be any way to make this work with hydraulic clutch?

the saginaw is allright, its better then the T-5 the SuperT-10 was used in 74-81 Trans am's and z-28's its allmost as strong as a muncie, i would just hook it all up to work with the Z-bar, you might be able to make it work with the newer style cable, but i would just stick with what you know would work.

Well the main thing is, this is from a four cylinder. The Z bar looks too long to use with a V8, since it has to reach farther to connect to the block. I think i could maybe cut it and shorten it though. I would rather use a hydraulic clutch however. But is a four cyclinder T10 or saginaw the same tranny that would have come with the V8?
