Me vs. 91 S-10 and a 1980 TA
WHEN I GET THE ZZ4 DROPED IN (mods in sig) how do you think I will do against these cars with out spraying it with the zz4 not the 2.8.
The S-10 belongs to a idiot I know, he thinks his truck is the fastest think in the world. It has a 427 small block (so he says) with a nice cam and a carb with a TINY air cleaner, its a single cab, slicks in the back and skinies in the front. He got on the gas really hard once and I was not impressed because I have seen new camaros do that or better.
He says he runs a low 12 but at the track my buddies said that he could only pull a 14 flat.
The trans am has a pontiac 350 (not stock the car came with a 301), auto tranny, hooker headers, catts, and dual flomaster exhaust. I know that its a built up engine but its nothing wild and is has a descent cam (I cant remember the specs)
Do I even need to worry about loosing to the TA and do I need to worry about the truck?
I would like to run a low 12 in the quarter and a 11 on the spray

i would worry about your engine because you will never beat any of them with that v6. you will probably have trouble taking them with a zz4 too. you will definetly have to do some mods like full exhaust and headers. but i wouldnt worry about races when you still have a v6.

If the most you can run is a 14 flat with a ZZ4, then you'd have something to worry about. I think the ZZ4 is good for low low 13's and probably high 12's, depending on your traction. I don't think you'd have much to worry about with the S-10.
