What is the D-max in, is it a 4wd crew cab or what, is it a 6 speed or does it have the 5spd allison automatic tranny? They have 300hp and 520tq at 1800rpm stock but there are computer chips out there that will add 100hp and close to 200tq, so be careful, he could have that chip and you wouldn't even know it. It is very easy to make those deisels fast because of there massive torque potential. I've seen dodge deisels run 12's.

Don't do it the truck maybe big but the torque will spank you.

How far you racin is rely the key I think. If you are racing to a certain mph you should make it high. This will give you a chance to catch up to it. Or if it is a certain distance make it farther than thatby say another half. You should win if it is farther they top out pretty quick. If it say to 60mph I think you will lose!
with all my mods u think a deisel is gonna beat me stock?
i cant imagine those duramax's being that peppy.
before my headers and new tranny and its upgrades i could

those things are fast off the line because they have 520tq at only 1800rpm they can do the 1/4 in the 15's if they get traction, they are faster than the new 8.1L 496ci gas engine.
